Declaration of CE Marking Exemption

Under Construction Products Regulation (EU) No 305/2011

Check-Flex Limited confirms that the following products are not subject to CE marking under Regulation (EU) No 305/2011:

Check-Flex G2 Series

Check-Flex G3 Series

Check-Flex G4 Series

Check-Flex G5 Series

The following products are CE marked under EN13564-1 (Anti-flooding devices for buildings):

Check-Flex RESI valves 100–200mm

Basis for exemption:No harmonised standards currently exist for this product sector under the Construction Products Regulation. The VDMA (Verband Deutscher Maschinen- und Anlagenbau e.V. — German Engineering Federation) position paper confirms that a common or umbrella standard is currently being developed to harmonise differing standards and set uniform requirements. CE marking of sanitary and building valves will not be required, and the creation of a Declaration of Performance will not be necessary, until such harmonised standard is in place.

Declaration of UKCA Marking Exemption

Under the Construction Products (Amendment etc.) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019 and associated legislation effective 1 January 2021

Following EU Exit, all existing harmonised European standards became UK designated standards. The CE Marking Exemption set out above accordingly satisfies the equivalent requirements under UK construction products legislation.
